The wife and I love road trips! Seeing the USA from the road can be an exhilarating experience.
A little background, since this is my first post.
Teresa, my wife, is not a natural born American. She’s been in the country for just over 5 years, so she wants to experience as much of America as she can. Flying over the heartland is no way to get to know America.
Additionally, I spent six years in the Philippines and we generally took “road trips” there, as well. She hadn’t traveled the country much, so we both got a good ground view of her native land.
Nothing makes us happier than loading up the car and hitting the road. Sometimes without a destination, just a desire to see someplace new.
Travel is what you make of it.
If you travel with a set time, destination, in mind, this can be very stressful. If, on the other hand, you are flexible with one, or both, you can use the travel time to experience so many new and sometimes exciting things. We try to allow enough time for side trips when traveling for pleasure.
Whatever it takes to stay active and experience new things, it is the way to stay younger feeling. There’s a huge age difference between my wife and me. But, that matters not when life is as much fun as we have.
I’ve said for years: “Go for it! Life only gets Shorter!”
